Your Next Great Adventure Is Just Around the Corner

Who doesn’t love a good mystery?

Some of our fondest childhood adventures were found between the pages of the Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew novels. As a matter of fact, between the two of us, we own nearly complete collections of both series. Those books gave us countless hours of adventure, and now we hope to pass a little of that magic along to the next generation with our very own middle grade mystery series, The Copperstone Mysteries.

So dust off those detective kits, because we have a new mystery to introduce!

Here are two dates you'll want to circle on your calendars:

December 1, 2026: The official cover reveal for Book 1, along with the announcement of its title.

January 1, 2027: The doors to the Grand Copperstone open! The first book arrives, and the series officially begins.

The clues are waiting. The secrets are calling. So sharpen your pencils, charge those flashlights, and keep your decoder rings close. You never know when a mystery might find you.

Dwight & Rebecca

Dwight L. MacPherson

Dwight L. MacPherson is a storyteller whose work spans horror, mystery, dark fantasy, and suspense—blending cinematic tension with unforgettable characters and unsettling ideas.

A former U.S. Army Combat Medic, he is the co-founder of Hocus Pocus Comics and has written for publishers including DC Comics, Image, and IDW. His stories move between mediums, but always return to the same question: what’s really going on beneath the surface?

From small-town secrets to high-concept supernatural thrillers, his work explores the thin line between reality and something far stranger.

His debut novel, Welcome to Waadizi, Michigan, introduces readers to a quiet lakeside town where people disappear—and the rest of the world forgets why that matters.

He lives in Florida with his wife, Rebecca, and their French Bulldog, Luna.

Welcome to Waadizi. Stay a while.
